Happy Tuesday! This week’s Top Ten Tuesday from The Broke and the Bookish is all about the books on my ‘to be read’ list for this summer. I almost decided not to do this week considering I’m in the middle of my Classic Novel List, but I figured I could include some of those books plus the ones that are actually on my TBR list.
1. Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
This is on my Classic list, but I do hope to read it by summer’s end. From the few people that I’ve talked to that have read it, enjoyed it, so I’m hoping that I enjoyed it just as much or more as Brothers Karamazov.
2. Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
I read the first of this trilogy about a year ago and I’ve been meaning to read the last two books. I thought the story and ideas were interesting and new.
3. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
This is one of the books that I found while browsing the bookshelves at Barnes and Noble a few weeks ago. I can’t wait until I can dive back into this genre that I love.
4. Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
I read the first two books about a year and half ago and loved it. Such a kicks character. I really hope to dive back into this world again.
5. Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari
I usually don’t go for non-fiction books, but the concept of this book is an interesting one and I think highly relevant in today’s world. Plus I’m a part of the generation he mostly looks at.
6. The Great Glass Sea by Josh Weil
I was just in Portland, OR this last weekend and I of course had to stop by Powell’s. This is one of the books that I saw and intrigued me, so hopefully I get to buy and read it. :)
7. No Place to Fall by Jaye Robin Brown
This sounds like a story that I would really connect with and because of that I’m intrigued and really want to read it.
8. Armada by Ernest Cline
I read his Ready Player One a couple years ago and loved it! I just found out that this book is coming out in July, read the summary, and now really want to read it! I tend to lean more towards fantasy than sci-fi, but if a book keeps me interest, I’ll read it!
9. Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee
Who wouldn’t want to read this? :)
10. The Full Volume of the Sherlock Holmes stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
I received the full volume last Christmas and have been itching to read the stories, so maybe I’ll get to at least start this summer.
I know this list is a little random and I didn’t include the rest of my classics, but there are so many books to read!!
What’s on your TBR this Summer list?
