I’m a little behind on doing some award and tag posts, whoops.
Anyways, thank you to the awesome The Orang-utan Librarian for nominating me for the Real Neat Blog Award! You know when I first started this blog, I didn’t know anything about the blogging community – I didn’t even read blogs, I just knew they existed. I never could have imagined what an awesome community this is and how supportive you all are.
The Rules:
- Thank and link the blogger that nominated you.
- Answer the 7 questions that the nomination has provided you.
- Create 7 questions for your nominees.
- Nominate 7 other bloggers.
The Questions:
What’s your favourite Robin Williams movie? (ah look at me making this relevant to my random tangent!)
Hmm .. I haven’t seen all of them (though I do want to watch all of them at some point). The first one to come to mind is Hook and then Mrs. Doubtfire. Can’t not say Aladdin 🙂 I also highly enjoyed him in Dead Poets Society.
In keeping with the weird theme, what’s your favourite story/book/movie where someone does a Mrs. Doubtfire and dresses up as someone they’re not?
Ooh, what an interesting question! First that comes to mind is Arya Stark from A Song of Ice and Fire (I hope this counts). Relating to Robin Williams, Aladdin is a good story.
I’m running out of questions related to Mrs Doubtfire… Turn your itunes on shuffle – and “Jump Around” (the song at the beginning of the movie) to whatever song comes on- report results!
I had to do this discreetly as I am writing this while I’m at work. Ssh, don’t tell.
Okay, now for a change of topic- who’s your favourite comedian?
I don’t know that I have a favorite, but pretty much anyone from Parks and Rec – Amy Poehler, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman .. don’t know if they are technically comedians or just comedic actors.
Barring Shakespeare and the Bible – which book would you say was most important to save in the event of the apocalypse?
So I have to pick my favorite child scenario? haha .. I think I would go with any compilation of fairytales/ folk tales.
For Harry Potter fans: what do you think the boggart would turn into if you encountered it? For everyone else: what’s your biggest fear?
Hmm, I think my biggest fear is probably being abandoned and left alone by those I love and hold dear to me the most. And then just being forgotten. Wow, this definitely sounds scary.
Voldemort has just confessed his love for you, saying you are the only person that has ever managed to convince him that love exists – what do you say back to him?
I would tell him that if he really loved me then he would stop his campaign to make pureblood wizards and witches the dominant ‘people’ and stop killing people. I would tell him to just let it go.
Those were a lot of fun, what great questions! Okay, now for my seven questions and nominees.
As always, there is no pressure to accept this/ participate if you do not wish to. But just know that I still think you have one neat blog 😉
My Questions:
- If you had set goals and resolutions for this year, how is that going? If not, how is the year going for you so far?
- What was the last song you listened to?
- What’s your favorite fairytale?
- Are you a baker or a cooker? Or neither?
- Out of all the books you’ve read, which world – or time – do you wish you could visit? Or maybe just live in?
- What was the last book recommended to you and did you love it or hate it?
- I’ve always been curious about this .. how much time do you spend working on your blog – posts and otherwise – per week?
I Nominate:
(in no particular order)
Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books
Cheyanne @ Tangerine Wallpaper
Bridget @ Bridget’s Book Bungalow
So, congrats! I hope none of you have received this award before, I know that sometimes people tend to get nominated a lot for the same awards, so I hope I stepped outside a little of that. For other readers, you are all awesome bloggers and don’t forget to check these other awesome bloggers out!
Happy Reading and Blogging!
XO Nicole
