Greek Mythology Book Tag

Happy Thursday my fellow bookworms! I always like posting a book tag piece every once in awhile to keep things fun and light. After doing a search for book tags, I came across this Greek Mythology Book Tag from Erin at The Book Nut. Thanks for sharing!

Book tags are great for showing your love for certain books and remembering your love for others. Sometimes the same books come up for me in book tags, but books read recently tend to make more of an appearance too.

Zeus, The King Sky God – Favorite book

So many, but I think I’ll go with The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.

Poseidon, God of the Ocean – A book that drowned you in feels

all bright places

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.

Hades, God of the Underworld – Favorite dark book

23783496

In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware definitely comes to mind. Or any Gillian Flynn really.

Hera, The Queen Goddess of Family and Marriage – Cutest couple

eleanor park

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell.

Athena, Goddess of Wisdom and Battle Strategy – Favorite intelligent heroine

13528319

Myfanwy Thomas from Rook by Daniel O’Malley comes to mind.

Gaea, The Great Mother – Favorite world building book

There are so many, but I think I would have to go with the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs.

Aphrodite, Goddess of Love and Beauty – Most gorgeous cover

hazel wood

I think I would have to say The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert.

Aries, God of War and Battle – Most violent book you’ve read

killing-lessons

First one that comes to mind is The Killing Lessons by Saul Black.

Hephaestus, God of Blacksmiths and Flame – Hottest book you’ve ever read

There have been a lot, but I really liked Mister O by Lauren Blakely.

Artemis, The Virgin Goddess of the Hunt – A heroine who doesn’t need a man to save her.

While Katniss Everdeen is of course a great pick, I also thought of Daenerys Targaryen from the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin. (Mercy Thompson also fits this bill, but I thought I would choose a different book).

Apollo, God of Music, Light, and Healing – A book that is the exception to a genre you don’t like

13330943

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Historical Fiction is rarely a genre I go to.

Hermes, God of Messages, Travelers, and Thieves – A book that stole your heart

snow child

The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey

Hestia, Goddess of Hearth and Home – A book you go back to for comfort

51738

Just Listen by Sarah Dessen

Demeter, Goddess of Agriculture and Fertility – Favorite book setting

I’m stuck between Mars and the Moon from The Martian and Artemis by Andy Weir.

Dionysus, God of Wine and Feasting – A book you are most anticipating in the next year

Stuck between Storm Cursed (Mercy #11) by Patricia Briggs and Beard Necessities (Winston #6) by Penny Reid.

Hecate, Goddess of Crossroads and Magic – Favorite magical read

I have to say The Night Circus again!

Nemesis, God of Revenge – Favorite revenge story

23719270

The only one that I can think of that comes close is Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman.

Have you read any of these books? What’s your favorite revenge tale? Or favorite world building? Let me know in the comments!
