It’s been a couple months since I last did a Down the TBR Hole post. I figured it was high time to see what books I really want to keep or take off my TBR list.
It’s oddly addicting doing this kind of post; similar to when I do Friday Finds posts. I hope that I really think about the books since my last adding spree to my TBR has it up almost to 800 books again. Sigh.
The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin
I can’t remember why I added this. I reread the blurb and it sounds interesting yet I’m not sure I would ever get around to reading it.
The Oracle Year by Charles Soule
Another book where I don’t remember why I added it.
The Future of Humanity: Terraforming Mars, Interstellar Travel, Immortality and Our Destiny Beyond Earth by Michio Kaku
I would love to be able get into nonfiction more. Especially a topic that I know nothing about. I just found an audiobook via my library that I placed a hold on; perfect for driving and on the bus!
The Order of Time by Carlo Rovelli
I seemed to have gone a science/ nonfiction kick. This one sounds interesting yet almost all reviews say something about while it’s beautifully written, the though thread is often lost.
Sweet Revenge: Passive-Aggressive Desserts for Your Exes & Enemies by Heather Kim
I love finding new and fun cookbooks and baking books. This one sounds like a lot of fun and I love the play of words for the recipes.
A Literary Tea Party: Blends and Treats for Alice, Bilbo, Dorothy, Jo, and Book Lovers Everywhere by Alison Walsh
I just can’t say no.
Here and Now and Then by Mike Chen
I am undecided.
The Water Cure by Sophie Mackintosh
I’ve been wanting to read this for so long now!
A Room Away From the Wolves by Nova Ren Suma
Definitely still interested.
Coral by Sara Ella
I haven’t read many fairy tale retellings; still interested in this one.
We Set the Dark on Fire (We Set the Dark on Fire #1) by Tehlor Kay Mejia
This still sounds really interesting. Definitely can’t wait to borrow from the library!
Blood Heir (Blood Heir Trilogy #1) by Amélie Wen Zhao
I’m glad the mobs of Twitter did not get this book cancelled. I’m curious about it though it may be awhile until my library has it.
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
Since reading 1Q84, I’ve been curious about his other works and I heard this was a favorite.
Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami
Same reason as before.
Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami
Middlegame by Seanan McGuire
This sounds so fascinating!
Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams
I feel like I should have read this earlier.
Touch by Courtney Maum
Another one I should read asap.
By the Book by Julia Sonneborn
I remember finding this book in the bookstore, but was already buying a armload, so I saved it to my TBR. My library now has it – can’t go wrong with a Jane Austen retelling.
The End of the World Running Club by Adrian J. Walker
Another interesting premise.
I started with 802 books (I did not realize how big this TBR list has gotten!!). After this I now have 798. So not as many as I thought. I guess I just have to read more!
