I posted a lot of mid-year related posts in June, looking at what I had read so far this year, what I liked, etc. Now, I figured – why not look into the future and see what the rest of my reading for 2020 might look like.

All of these prompts are your predictions for your…
I finally finished the physical nonfiction book that I’ve been reading for a couple months now, so my plan is to pick up Rubin’s Better Than Before. As for fiction, I’m in the middle of a fantasy book that I think will definitely leave me in the mood for more fantasy or sci-fi. I finally own the whole Southern Reach trilogy and Shades of Magic trilogy, so one of them (or both) will most likely be my next read. Which will be a hard choice if I need to just pick one for the month.
Next 5 Star Read
Hmm, this one was hard! While I was tempted to choose one of the fiction books from the previous prompt (which I do think will be a 4 or 5 star read for me), I wanted to go with ones that I feel a lot more confident about. I’m in love with Patricia Briggs and her Mercy Thompson series, so I always tend to rate the books high. I have high hopes for Crouch’s Recursion as I loved his Dark Matter. And I’ve loved all but one of Ware’s novels, so Turn of the Key should be high for me as well.
Next 1 Star Read
Probably like many readers, I try not to pick up books that I think will be a 1 star rating. However, I am hoping to complete the Waterstones 50 Reading list, which has a lot of books that may not end up being highly rated by me.
Next Love Interest (Or Character That Seems Really Cool to You)
I think I’m going to have to say that I look forward to reading about Kell .. he seems interesting.
Next Book You’ll Be Buying
This is also hard since I just bought six new books, of which maybe four were unexpected. However, I always buy Ruth Ware’s new releases, so I will be buying her new book One by One when it comes out.
Next Book That Will Leave You with a Book Hangover (and Desperately Wanting a Reread or Next in Series)
I kind of have a feeling that either any of the series I’ve mentioned already or possibly The Starless Sea by Erin Morgentsern will give me a book hangover .. whenever I do get around to picking it up.
And that’s it! It was actually easier to think about these answers that I originally thought. I look forward to seeing if I was right about any of them!
Since I was not technically tagged, please feel free to do this tag if you want!
