There is nothing quite like being swooned as the reader of a romance story. So many lovely things that are spoken and thought by the characters that makes you wish and hope that there are people out in the world actually saying these things. That are putting more and more love into the world, even if just through words.
The Quotes
“I read you like you were my favorite book, Rosie. Like I’ve memorized you.” ― Elena Armas, The American Roommate Experiment
Mika looked away. “I’m afraid I’ll never leave a mark on anybody.”
It was quiet for so long that Mika wished she could take the too-reckless, too-honest words back, but then she heard him, rough and uneven and so quiet she almost missed it: “It’s a little late for that, I’m afraid.” ― Sangu Mandanna, The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches
“I wish . . . I had closed my office door after you walked in and kissed you until you saw stars.” I let out a squeak. “You do not!” “Oh yes I do,” he replied. “I would’ve asked first.” ― Ashley Poston, The Dead Romantics
“I don’t want you to be perfect. Why would I want that? I want you. I want all the parts of you, the broken ones, the ones you’ve kept hidden away.” ― Beth O’Leary, The No-Show
“I still have a lot to figure out, but the one thing I know is, wherever you are, that’s where I belong. I’ll never belong anywhere like I belong with you.” ― Emily Henry, People We Meet on Vacation
“I’ve never met someone who is so perfectly my favorite person.” ― Emily Henry, Beach Read
“You want to know what you are to me? Fine. You’re my beginning, middle, and end.” ― Penny Reid, Beard Science
“He’s not looking at me like he’s never seen me before. He’s looking at me like he’s never seen anyone else.” ― Beth O’Leary, The Road Trip
“Everyone deserved to love and be loved back. Everyone.” ― Helen Hoang, The Bride Test
“I don’t want just a night or a week or a month with you. I want you all the time. I like you better than calculus, and math is the only thing that unites the universe.” ― Helen Hoang, The Kiss Quotient
“Jethro closed his eyes, a small grin curving his mouth, and whispered like it was a secret, “Thank you for being lost.”
I smiled and whispered in return, “Thank you for finding me.” ― Penny Reid, Grin and Beard It
These are all so lovely. 🙂
