The Stay At Home Book Tag

While I just did another book tag earlier this month, I couldn’t resist the Stay At Home book tag. Based on my google search, I could tell that many people already did this one a few months ago. While booktuber
Princess of Paperback is the original creator, I found the tag through booktuber Bookables.

Even though some states and cities here in the US are doing what they can to help businesses reopen, I’m still primarily working from home and staying at home except for grocery shopping and other necessities.

So this tag, unfortunately, is still relevant (at least for me). For anyone else still deep in stay at home orders, hang in there! Read all the books!

Laying in Bed – book you could/have read in a day

I definitely could have read An Unkindness of Magicians by Kat Howard in day. It really sucked me in from the beginning!

Snacking – guilty pleasure book

Hmm, I’m not sure if I have one. I think I don’t feel guilty per se about a book I read. Though some of the romances I’ve read have been a little outside my usual reading. Maybe I’ll just go with any Penny Reid book because I love them so much.

Netflix – series you want to start

Wow, there are so many. I listed quite a few in my post about series I want to start. Out of that list, I’m going to go with Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch. Urban Fantasy is a first love and this right up my alley.

Deep Clean – been on your TBR for ages

Oh man, so many to choose from! I think I’m going to go the classic route and say The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. It’s been on my TBR list since 2016 …

Animal Crossing – book you recently bought because of hype

This is definitely The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow. So many of you have loved this book and I’ve been dying to read it. I finally picked up at the bookstore a few weeks ago.

Productivity – book you learnt or had an impact on you

Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes. While I read/ listen to a lot of nonfiction, this one definitely stood out because I definitely find myself in situations where all I want to say is no. Since finishing this book, I don’t exactly say yes to everything, but I’m much more conscious of decisions now.

Facetime – A book you were gifted

Someone gifted me Leviathan Wakes (The Expanse #1) by James S.A. Corey for my birthday. It’s something that this person and I talked about a lot. It’s nice to finally have a copy and I can start reading it like I said I would.

Self Care – what is one thing you have done recently to look after yourself

Well besides taking more time to read than I was recently, I joined the Orangetheory gym near me to start working out again.

BONUS – name a book coming out soon

So, it’s not exactly soon, but it is this year. Apparently, there’s going to be a Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline … there’s no blurb, so I’m still having mixed feelings.

Have you done this tag already? Drop a link – I’d love to read your answers!
